biography

Jami Winston is a Portland native and has been a Licensed Esthetician and Massage Therapist for 5 years. After 7 years working in the marketing field, Jami left the corporate world to pursue her dream of opening a studio focusing on a holistic approach to skin and body care. During her last term of massage school she went to “beauty school” to integrate the two therapies.

Jami is passionate about her work and educating clients; balancing the art of pampering as well as striving to see amazing skin and body care results in each client.

Clients love her luxurious massage during facials and she’s the only one who sugars in town!

Jami has advanced education in cranial sacral massage, manual lymph drainage, reflexology, acupressure, and has trained with the top skin care lines in the world. She regularly attends trade shows and has traveled to Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Seattle, Vancouver BC and Utah for advanced education.

Skin 101

Did you know?

One square inch of skin contains, among others, approximately 71 feet of blood vessels and 300 feet of nerves. Approximately 20 million cells, including countless cells for touch, pain, heat and cold. It also contains approximately 100 hairs, 100 sebaceous glands and 650 sweat glands.

The Skin :

:: is the only visible part of the entire body
:: holds our parts together and gives them their special shape
:: is a reflection of our inner health and well being
:: is the largest detox organ in the body
:: regulates your body temperature
:: protects your body from infection and illness

It works hard for you, shouldn’t you reward it for its labors?

Skin sheds every 28 to 30 days, regular skin care increases the quality of the tone and texture of your skin while cleaning away the dead skin cells. Seasons can also affect the needs of your skin. Summer brings sunny weather, and with it, possible skin damage. Winter brings the drying effects of harsh temperatures. At Treatment we strive to ensure that you are educated about your skin and body’s needs beyond providing you with a one-time facial or massage. We work with you to make sure you make the most of your treatments.

Your skin is one of your most important assets, if it doesn’t look good, you don’t look good!

Treament believes a balanced body and radiant skin requires more than skin care products, however. Whole foods, healthy water, yoga, exercise, positive thoughts, sleep and a regular massage and skin care program all work together to provide you with a healthy, glowing sheen. A diet rich in vitamins A, C, and B-complex, for example organic foods like brown rice, beans and lentils, organic vegetables and fruits. Avoid white sugar and food prepared with white flour and deep-fried fats.

Everyday skin care and regular treatments of the skin is also vital to looking your best and with this we can help you.

Whether you come in once a month, every two months or every season it is important to be on a consistant schedule that works for you. Let us help you in selecting the skin and body regime that works best for you.
